About Zero Waste Indonesia

In Indonesia, Enviu runs the Zero Waste program, which aims to reduce plastic pollution by developing scalable reuse solutions and contributing to a thriving reuse ecosystem. Alongside venture building, the program works with businesses, governments, communities, and other ecosystem actors to advance waste prevention and systemic change.

About the job

During the internship, you will support the implementation of the Zero Waste Indonesia program, with a particular focus on advancing reuse solutions and the reuse ecosystem in Jakarta. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in executing sustainability projects and working with diverse stakeholders to develop and scale waste prevention and reuse solutions.

Activities include supporting: 

  • Day-to-day implementation of program activities, including planning, coordination, and execution of activities and events

  • Research and collect insights on waste prevention, reuse, and related ecosystem developments to support program activities and decision-making

  • Coordination and implementation of reuse and waste prevention activities with relevant stakeholders, including businesses, communities, government, and other ecosystem actors

  • Development and implementation of reuse pilots and activities, including preparation of materials, coordination with partners, and tracking of activities and progress 

  • Stakeholder engagement and coordination, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, taking meeting notes, and following up on action points

  • Data collection, documentation, and monitoring of program activities and outcomes

  • Development of program deliverables, presentations, communication materials, and other outputs as needed

  • Reporting and administrative activities, ensuring timely and well-organized documentation of program activities and learnings

About you

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Is a recent graduate, preferably with a background in sustainability, environmental studies, social sciences, business, or a related field

  • Has a strong interest in circular economy, waste prevention, reuse, and/or social entrepreneurship

  • Is structured and able to organize information and coordinate multiple activities

  • Has a proactive and hands-on approach to work

  • Has a critical mindset and is eager to learn

  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Is comfortable engaging with different stakeholders and working in a team

  • Is fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia

  • Is available for at least 6 months
