Program Design Associate

Enviu is an impact venture-building studio headquartered in the Netherlands with offices in Indonesia, Kenya and India. We build and scale impact startups tackling systemic challenges in textiles, agrifood, mobility and beyond. Since 2010 we have co-founded 24 startups in circular economy, climate tech and impact investing spaces. 

We’re looking for a Program Design Associate for our office in Bangalore to help us take our programs in textiles and agrifood to the next level. You’re invited to apply with 4+ years’ of relevant experience in impact consulting, impact investing, or social entrepreneurship and if you’re excited to design and grow new programs and partnerships.     

About the job

This is a hands-on, senior-associate level role for someone who loves blending consulting-style systems thinking with fundraising, ecosystem building and program delivery. It’s designed as a growth path into Program Manager for someone excited by system change, impact investing and climate solutions.   

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Program & Venture Fundraising (40%)

• Identify and research potential funders to build the program and venture funding pipeline 

• Develop and pitch high-impact proposals to partners and funders, within limited timelines for program and ventures 

• Support the Program Manager in conceptualizing new projects, proposals, and partnerships  

Domain development and ecosystem building (40%)

• Perform issue analysis and market mapping to spot opportunities in the ecosystem 

• Apply a structured, consulting-based approach to diagnose challenges and shape new program concepts

• Contribute to thought leadership through blogs, case studies and external representation

Program execution & support (20%) 

• Independently execute projects, including developing and managing work plans, budgets, deliverables   

• Prepare high-quality grant reports and presentations, in line with their stated requirements 

• Implement monitoring & evaluation frameworks and ensure quality data collection 

• Independently produce program materials (web content, decks, case studies etc.) 

On a day-to-day basis, you will be: 

• Scouting for new fundraising opportunities, draft collaterals and outreach strategy to discuss with Regional Program Manager and ventures

• Research and analyse value chains, market data to spot new interventions for Enviu India 

• Develop learnings, visualize systemic impact and create thought leadership content

• Sharpen your management skills through team ideations, international collaborations, external stakeholder management 

About you

Minimal requirements for the role: 

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, business, sustainability, social sciences) 

• 4 years of professional experience in program management, impact consulting, circular economy and related fields

• Proven track record in grant writing (>200k EUR) and donor reporting 

• Strong analytical skills; able to turn findings into actionable strategies

• Excellent writing and presentation skills (PowerPoint, Canva or similar)

• Proactive, detail-oriented, collaborative, and motivated to grow into a Program Manager role

And it would be a plus if you have:  

• Confidence as a communicator; able to engage with partners and experience representing organizations at conferences / external events  

• Professional experience in the textile or agrifood industry in India 

• Experience in project design, ToCs, building partnerhsips, and knowledge of the funder and CSR landscape in India 

• Exposure to impact measurement / M&E frameworks and data collection 

The job will be performed in Bengaluru, India, and we are looking for a candidate who has eligibility to work there.

Enviu is an international not-for-profit social enterprise headquartered in The Netherlands. We are an impact venture-building studio, taking a programmatic approach to build ventures in fashion, retail, food and mobility sectors. Founded in 2004, Enviu became a venture studio in 2010. Enviu has (co)founded 24 impact-driven ventures since 2010. Currently, Enviu has 14 ventures in the pipeline.  

Our ventures are founded on innovative business models to address food waste in Kenya, textile waste in India and Kenya, plastic waste in Indonesia and the Netherlands, as well as clean energy in the mobility sector in the Netherlands. They are designed to mitigate the negative impact of waste on the environment, while creating job opportunities. We work with ~50 great people in our offices in Rotterdam, Bangalore, Jakarta, and Nairobi.
